Carlos VIdal and his daughter Lupe Lopez founded el Presidente Restaurante over twenty-five years ago. carlos moved his family here from central Mexico in the early seventies with ambitions of starting a home style Mexican restarurant. El Presidente Restaurante started on Lincoln Avenue and after five years moved to its current location on Ashland. Like a typical home cooked meal everything is made fresh. All of our special sauces are old fashion recipes from the heart of Mexico. Our famous chips are cooked fresh every few hours. The Pico de Gallo salsa is diced and made fresh threee times a day. Rice and beans are made daily. We invite you to experience our Authentic Mexican Cuisine!
